Short Cross Legends book

This is a fantastic book and fast tracks the identification of British Short Cross Coinage.
Short Cross Legends is the most up to date, most comprehensive and by far the easiest wat to identify Short Cross Hammered coins. Written by a good friend and respected detectorist Gerry Slevin someone who has given a great deal of thought to the subject, to make it literally as simple as ABC, in fact that’s exactly how he’s done it.

Step 1 : Identify the first letter of the moneyer’s name and then look it up Alphabetically.

step 2  : If the Moneyer’s name is missing, compare the remaining parts of the Legend or even the Font’s which are exactly as they appear on the coins themselves (no other publication does this for all types/classes of Short Cross coin).

Within a very short time you will be on your way to a clear identification.
This book is an absolute must for anybody who handles these Short Cross Coins from Professional auctioneer’s, numismatist, Historians, Archaeologist or like myself a keen Metal Detectorist. Thanks to Gerry Slevin I no longer sit for hours straining my eyes pouring over numerous books to I.D. my coin find.

Here is a short video on the book.
